Westridge is seeking a Project Manager who will provide the in-office management of commercial/industrial construction projects ranging from $1 M. to $20 M.  The chosen candidate will have the ability to maintain and enhance a positive work environment that respects, develops, and motivates employees at every level.  LEED certification, knowledge, or experience is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Review the project drawings and specifications, and comment on possible cost savings and potential construction problems
  • Subtrade tender reviews and awards
  • Shop drawing review and coordination
  • Project coordination with project superintendent
  • Monitor site safety to ensure that the requirements of OH&S regulations and corporate safety policy is enforced
  • Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures, safety culture, and standards are followed
  • Conduct site tours including safety inspections
  • Work collaboratively with project coordinators, estimators and office staff
  • Consultant/owner liaison
  • Contract administration
  • Budget control
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Monthly progress invoicing
  • Project closeout


Qualifications

  • Civil or Structural engineering degree/diploma or equivalent training and experience; or journeyperson carpenter with past project superintendent experience
  • 5 – 7 years of project management experience on large commercial/civil projects
  • Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software
  • Thorough understanding of all facets of construction
  • Timberline software knowledge would be an asset
  • Carpentry/field construction would be an asset
