(École Centennial and All Saints Catholic School)

This new K-8 facility was built as part of a larger integrated facility project in the city’s northeast near the Cypress Regional Hospital. École Centennial School, a dual track French Immersion and English school, and All Saints Catholic School reside in a facility with a unique integrative and modern design that includes shared space. Total area of the new school is approximately 130,000 sq.ft. The building has a structural steel framework with poured concrete on metal decking at the 2nd floor. The main floor was a poured structural concrete slab on grade.

Built to LEED Silver, the exterior envelope consisted of metal cladding, brick, and split faced coloured concrete block. The cladding had numerous colour changes throughout.

Features also included in-slab heating and cooling lines, interior glazed surface film windows, coloured glass exterior windows, 12’ high living wall, and electrical panics that were tied into a computer controlled locking system.

This project required extra coordination as there were 2 clients and 2 consultants, with each school having their own finishes
