The Arbor Green project is a 50-unit senior housing life lease project in Saskatoon. As part of the project team, Westridge assisted with the overall design concept as well as budgets, schedules and general contracting activities. This project is wood frame construction on a concrete main floor over crawl space. The concrete floor system was developed to provide an alternative to wood frame on the main floor.

In this case, the concrete was preferred to keep the ground floor structure free of wood material that may become exposed to the earth and moisture. The base mechanical system was modified to include modular, energy efficient boilers and hot water heating coils, rather than the specified single boiler and three gas-fired furnaces for heating and make up air systems. This alternative was initiated by Westridge to allow system flexibility while promoting a better energy efficient system in the boiler equipment.
