Colin Olfert is the President & CEO of Westridge Construction, leading the organization in line with Westridge’s solid core values and with a strong focus on operational excellence, community and client partnerships, and long-term growth. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and began his career in construction as a Project Coordinator. Colin quickly advanced through the roles of Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Director, Operations Manager, General Manager, and CEO before assuming Westridge’s top leadership position. Over the course of his career, Colin has overseen a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, recreation, civil, and retail projects with values over $250 million. His experience in both operations and project delivery has provided him with a strong understanding of the construction lifecycle, from preconstruction planning to successful turnover, which he brings to his leadership of Westridge. Colin is deeply committed to the development of Saskatchewan’s construction industry and the growth of future leaders. In the past, he has served as a Director on the Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan Board and several other construction industry and community boards and initiatives such as the Construction Association of Saskatchewan, the General Contractors Association, among others. Colin’s collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and dedication to continuous improvement position Westridge for ongoing success and meaningful impact in the province and beyond.
Mike received his Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology from SIAST (now Saskatchewan Polytechnic) and received his Project Manager Gold Seal Certification in 2008. Mike’s years of experience in the construction industry enables him to provide valuable constructability direction and innovative ways to add value to any project he oversees. As Director of Construction, Mike provides leadership and oversight to all of Westridge projects.
Nick has a Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology and is a certified Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) registered with the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians. Nick enjoys the challenges that come with estimating the most complex types of projects that Westridge undertakes. These include construction management, design-build, IPD, and P3 projects in the commercial, civil and industrial markets. Nick also manages the estimating department, is directly involved in our pre-qualification proposals, and helps navigate many of our projects through the preconstruction stage.
As Chief Financial Officer for Westridge, Renee is responsible for forecasting the organization's financial standing based on financial and operational data and reports provided by the finance and accounting teams. Renee is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) who provides leadership, technical management skills, and strategic analysis for the Senior Management Team and the Westridge Board of Directors to ensure controls are in place to mitigate risk and enhance the performance of the company.
After founding Westridge Construction in 1989, Leon led the company for more than three decades with a steadfast commitment to integrity, quality, and community. Under his leadership, Westridge grew from a small local contractor into one of Saskatchewan’s most respected builders. Though he’s now retired from day-to-day operations, Leon remains actively involved as a director on the Board, continuing to provide support to the leadership team he helped shape.
