Leon founded Westridge in 1989 with a focus on industrial, commercial and institutional construction. A journeyman carpenter by trade, Leon has had the opportunity to gain hands on experience as a carpenter, foreman, superintendent, estimator and project manager which has given him the background and knowledge to lead the Westridge team. As President and CEO, Leon has built a company where quality, integrity and teamwork are the number one focus of all Westridge projects.

Colin Olfert, P. Eng

General Manager

Colin received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Colin began his career as a Project Coordinator and quickly moved through the ranks to Project Manager, Operations Manager, and currently, General Manager, overseeing and providing leadership to the operations of Westridge. Colin’s experience includes various commercial, healthcare, recreational, civil and retail projects ranging up to $250M in value.

Mike Lamontagne, A.Sc.T., GSC, CM-Lean

Mike received his Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology from SIAST (now Saskatchewan Polytechnic) and received his Project Manager Gold Seal Certification in 2008. Mike’s years of experience in the construction industry enables him to provide valuable constructability direction and innovative ways to add value to any project he oversees. As Project Director, Mike provides mentorship to the Project Managers and Superintendents while providing a high-level overview for all Westridge projects.

Nick Friesen, A.Sc.T.

Chief Estimator

Nick has a Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology and is a certified Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) registered with the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians. Nick enjoys the challenges that come with estimating the most complex types of projects that Westridge undertakes. These include construction management, design-build, IPD, and P3 projects in the commercial, civil and industrial markets. Nick also manages the estimating department, is directly involved in our pre-qualification proposals, and helps navigate many of our projects through the preconstruction stage.

Renee Boyd, CPA, CMA

Finance Manager

As Finance Manager for Westridge, Renee is responsible for the accounting operations of the company. Renee is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) who provides leadership, technical management skills, and strategic analysis for the Senior Management Team and the Westridge Board of Directors to ensure controls are in place to mitigate risk and enhance the performance of the company.
