Westridge is seeking a Project Coordinator who will assist with the management of architectural and civil construction projects. The chosen candidate will have the ability to maintain and enhance a positive work environment that respects, develops, and motivates employees at every level.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with the following tasks:
- Meeting minutes
- RFI - Request for Information
- Estimating
- Project planning and scheduling
- Review the project drawings and specifications and address possible cost savings and potential construction problems
- Ensure project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy are being met
- Subcontractor tender reviews and awards
- Shop drawing review and coordination
- Project coordination
- Maintain safety standards
- Conduct site tours including safety inspections
- Consultant/owner liaison
- Contract administration including the change management process
- Manage financial aspects of contracts
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control
- Monthly progress invoicing
- Project closeout
- Project estimating when time permits
Qualifications
- Civil or structural engineering degree, civil engineering or architectural technology diploma OR minimum 5 years experience in a trade-based field position
- Project coordination or experience on commercial/civil projects would be considered an asset
- Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of all facets of construction
