Westridge is seeking a Project Foreman/Woman based out of our Saskatoon office who will provide the on-site leadership to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects while maintaining excellent working relations with our labour and industry partners. The Project Foreman/Woman will help foster a positive & safe work environment that respects, develops and motivates employees at every level. The ideal candidate would have experience in any of the following fields: commercial, civil, or municipal infrastructure projects, and be capable of organizing all field staff and trades.
Qualifications / Responsibilities
- Carpentry Journeyperson certificate preferred
- Previous leadership role would be an asset
- Able and willing to wear the “tools” and work with, coach, train and mentor apprentice carpenters
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read project drawings and shop drawings
- Understanding of OH&S safe work practices
- Work collaboratively with the Site Superintendent and project coordinators
- Organize and coordinate all subcontractor activities
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control
- Supervise and mentor field personnel
- Provide leadership for company safety policy
- Monitor job costing, quality, forecasting and productivity
- Complete field administration: timesheets, purchases, job diaries/daily reports
- Basic computer skills
