Westridge is seeking a Project Manager who will provide management of commercial / civil / industrial construction projects ranging from small to upwards of $40M. The chosen candidate will have the ability to maintain and enhance a positive work environment that respects, develops, and motivates employees at every level.

Responsibilities

  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Review the project drawings and specifications and address possible cost savings and potential construction problems
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy
  • Subtrade tender reviews and awards
  • Shop drawing review and coordination
  • Project coordination with project superintendent
  • Maintain safety standards in all aspects of all projects under your portfolio
  • Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures, safety culture, and standards are followed
  • Conduct site tours including safety inspections
  • Work collaboratively with project coordinators, estimators and office staff
  • Consultant/owner liaison
  • Contract administration including the change management process
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Monthly progress invoicing
  • Project closeout
  • Project estimating when time permits

Qualifications

  • Civil or Structural engineering degree, civil engineering or architectural technology diploma, or equivalent training and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience on commercial/civil projects
  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of project delivery methods
  • Estimating experience is an asset
  • Experience in preconstruction on construction management or design-build projects would be considered an asset
  • Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of all facets of construction
