Westridge Construction is seeking a Project Manager to support a major project in Winnipeg. This opportunity is well suited to individuals with 5–10 years of commercial construction experience who are ready to take on broader project management responsibilities within a large-scale build. Applicants with progressive experience supporting projects at a senior level, as well as those with direct project management experience, will be considered.


The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of this commercial construction project, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.


This position will be based in Regina for the first year and operate remotely in support of the project. Following that period, the successful candidate will be required to relocate to Winnipeg and work directly on site for the duration of the project.


What You’ll Do:

Project Delivery

  • Assist in the planning and execution of a commercial construction project from pre-construction through completion
  • Review contracts and project documentation to understand scope, risks, and requirements
  • Support schedule management, budgeting, cost control, and reporting
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to maintain project progress
  • Conduct and participate in site meetings and inspections once site work begins
  • Identify project risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies


Team & Client Coordination

  • Act as a key point of contact for subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Support communication between field teams, consultants, and ownership
  • Assist in tracking team workload and project deliverables
  • Provide regular updates on schedule, cost, and project status


Financial Oversight

  • Support project budgeting and cost tracking
  • Review progress billings and subcontractor invoices
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting

 

What You Bring:

  • 5–10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
  • Strong exposure to project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects from pre-construction through delivery
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, drawings, and contracts
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment during the initial phase of the project


A formal Project Manager title is not required; candidates with progressive project coordination or supervisory experience are encouraged to apply.


Additional Details

Initial Location: Regina (remote for approximately the first year)

Future Location: Full-time on-site in Winnipeg

Travel: Required as project demands
