As Westridge continues to experience growth, we are excited to expand our team by hiring a Project Superintendent for our Saskatoon office. In this key leadership role, you will provide the on-site management to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects while maintaining excellent working relations with our labour and industry partners. The Project Superintendent will help foster a positive & safe work environment that respects, develops and motivates employees at every level. The ideal candidate would have experience in any of the following fields: commercial, civil, or municipal infrastructure projects, and be capable of organizing all field staff and trades


Qualifications / Responsibilities

  •  Carpentry background preferred
  • Previous site superintendent experience
  • Able to wear the “tools” and work with, coach and train apprentice carpenters
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of the scope of work
  • Ability to read project drawings and shop drawings
  • Quantity surveying experience
  • Ability to schedule and plan
  • Strong understanding of project forecasting
  • Ability to work with construction change orders, notices and revisions
  • Understanding of OH&S safe work practices
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, project coordinators and office staff
  • Work collaboratively with owners, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of construction contracts
  • Organize and coordinate all subtrade activities
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software
  • Supervise and mentor field personnel
  • Manage and provide leadership for company safety policy and environmental programs
  • Monitor job costing, quality, forecasting and productivity
  • Implement and maintain the construction plan including scheduling and logistics
  • Complete field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases, job diaries
