Westridge was contracted as construction manager for the Regina Apostolic Church Addition and Renovation. The two additions had a number of construction and design challenges that Westridge worked through with the owner and the design team in an attempt to produce a high quality product for the community and congregation to enjoy and cherish. To meet the client’s needs and budget the project was completed in two phases.

Phase 1 was the addition of a 1,900 ft2 single-storey education area including two classrooms, a washroom and various storage/maintenance rooms.

Phase 2 includes the design and construction of a 30,000 ft2 three-storey multi-use ministry and outreach centre which includes a sanctuary, cafe, bookstore, and foyer on the main floor. The 2nd floor is designed for the Church’s children and ministry programs, while the 3rd floor is designed for youth ministry with classrooms, offices, worship and a servery style kitchen. This addition was designed to help the church accommodate the larger volume of children, youth and adults that regularly attend the church. Each floor of the new structural steel and concrete building is approximately 10,000 ft2.   The spaces are designed to be fun and educational with a high emphasis on safety and security for the children and youth.
